French press for tea

The French press in translation literally means "French press", it happens for tea and for coffee. It consists of a french press from a bulb, mainly a glass, piston and lid. On the piston there is a filter that does not allow welding or coffee grounds . Tea and coffee, cooked in such a device, have a special flavor and taste.

How to choose a French press?

First of all, decide on the required volume of the brewer. So, 350 ml of liquid is about 1.5-2 servings of tea. Next - pay attention to the quality of fixing the bulb. It is desirable that the holder is not only at the base of the bulb, but also from above. Then we can talk about reliable fixation.

Make sure that the entire teapot press fittings are well disassembled for washing. It is preferable to choose models with spare bulbs, since this part is most often broken. And to minimize this unpleasant moment, pay attention to models with heat-resistant glass. Heat resistant bulbs of good quality are made by the French firm Pyrex.

As for the holders, they must be made of stainless steel, which meets the requirements of the parameters set for the dishes.

How to use a French press?

Cooking tea in the frying-type french-press is very convenient. Boil water and let it stand for half a minute. This time is necessary in order that the water temperature becomes optimal for brewing. In addition, boiling water may cause the flask to split.

How to brew tea properly in a French press? The main thing, do not rush to immediately fill the flask with tea leaves. First coat it with boiled and slightly cooled water. Pour out the water and only then pour the tea leaves and pour a new portion of boiling water. Stir the tea with a long spoon or a stick, then cover the flask with a lid. The filter screen should be 2 cm from the water level.

The tea must be infused for at least three minutes. As soon as tea leaves come up from the bottom of the brewer, you can use welding. It is believed that during this time the leaves gave away the whole fragrance.

It is recommended to use large leaf tea, and if you love tea with additives, you can use the ready mixed tea, but you can add natural ingredients yourself.

The original strength of tea is selected according to one's own taste. Approximately 350 ml you need to put 2 teaspoons of tea. When the tea has brewed, it is necessary to lower the press to the lowest position. After that you can pour the tea on the cups. Have a nice tea!
