Generators with a capacity of more than 25 kW are actually power plants and are used in very large country houses, estates with several houses, as well as in small industrial facilities.

In addition to the power characteristic, all gas generators differ in the type of fuel used. So, some of them work on the main gas (directly from the pipe), others - on liquefied gas (from cylinders or from a mini-gas holder). And there are universal generators that can work on any kind of gas.
If a gas main is connected to the cottage, then the gas generator is the most profitable source of electricity. But here it is necessary to consider one feature - the gas pressure. With a low gas pressure in the pipe, a powerful generator will not be able to take enough fuel for itself and will not work at full power. So before buying a gas generator, ask the employees of the gas company about the actual pressure in your area.
If you have a gas boiler for heating, and you regularly buy gas for it, then a powerful gas generator with liquefied fuel will be quite appropriate. It is better to choose generators with a power of 4-6 kW. It will be enough to stay in the country for a few days. The difference between gas generators of constant and variable type
A gas generator for an apartment or a house can become a constant source of current if you choose the right model. And to make the right choice, you need to know some subtleties:
- The station, used as a permanent source of electricity, should operate at 1.5 thousand revolutions and turn off as rarely as possible. Such generators should have a long service interval, that is, it is rarely necessary to change the oil, which means that a large oil tank is needed.
- Stations of constant use weigh a lot, because their engines are made of thick metal, which "does not lead" in the process of operation.
- Such stations should have the most facilitated access to the engine for overhauling, replacement of parts and so on.
