The modern Gothic subculture was born in the 80s of the last century. One of the bright features of the Gothic image are gloomy colors and sullen colors, and a photo session in this format will be the most natural. If you are attracted to the gloom of noble people of past centuries, you can safely realize your ideas through a gothic photo shoot. Where should we begin?
Photoshoot in the Gothic style
At the first stage it is important to choose the appropriate Gothic image for the photo shoot. It makes sense to highlight the main common features that are typical for most areas of gothic culture, in particular:
- black eyeliner;
- pale complexion of the face;
- lips, colored with dark lipstick;
- intense manicure mainly in black;
- dark, dark colors of outer clothing and shoes.
Of the clothes for girls, corsets, dresses with lace, long raincoats and skirts on the floor are best. Preferably all will be clothes made of velvet, brocade, silk. Keep in mind the fact that in narrow things you will be problematic posing, so the chosen clothes for the photo session should be as free and convenient as possible. As for shoes, Gothic shoes with an acute toe will be an excellent option. While the shoes on the platform will not look very photogenic.
Decorations for a photo shoot can be modest (jewelry made of silver, rings, necklaces). Accessories in the Gothic style are colored lenses, long black or white nails.
If you are planning a photo shoot in a studio room, your make-up should be much brighter than in everyday life. Because most likely the studio light will dim the brightness, in particular make-up on the face. Therefore, it is recommended to experiment in advance with makeup in a home environment.
