How to get a child's birth certificate?

When a baby is born, all the strengths and thoughts of parents are usually directed at a new member of the family. It needs to be dressed, fed, provided with care and attention. But do not forget about less pressing, but still very important points, such as, for example, the design of documents. The first of these is, of course, a birth certificate. It is this paper that will be the child's identity card, until he has received a passport. For details on the specifics of this document, see below.

How can I get a child's birth certificate?

It is quite easy to make a testimony today, and it does not involve any special problems. In addition, this is one of the few official papers for which registration does not require the payment of state duty - so the state takes care of its small citizens.

So, you can get a birth certificate and you need it in the registry office. There you should contact one of the foster days, or make an appointment in advance by phone. The procedure is carried out either at the place of birth of the child himself, or where one of his parents lives. For registration of the certificate in the Russian Federation, take with you a package of documents, including:

  1. Medspravku, which certifies the birth of the baby. It can be issued by the maternity home or by a private doctor who took delivery. If the child was born at home without the presence of a physician, then the statement of the person taking the birth is mandatory and his presence in the registry office when the certificate is issued.
  2. Passports of both parents, and if the father is absent, only the mother's document is needed.
  3. If the child's parents were previously officially registered as a family, they must also bring their marriage certificate.

To obtain the certificate it is enough to file all the listed documents, plus the completed birth application (you can fill it on the form in the registry office, or pre-download it on the Internet).

There are in the issue of registration of birth certificates and their nuances. For example, in the case of surrogate motherhood, it is also necessary to officially give birth to a woman to write in the document "customers", as biological parents are crumbs.

Data on the father of the child, if the parents are not legally married, are recorded either from the mother's words or taken from the certificate of establishment of paternity.

If a child of Russian citizens is born in the territory of any other country, the certificate is issued at the embassy or consulate during the standard registration procedure.

As for Ukraine, there the procedure for obtaining a certificate is almost the same, except for one moment. Along with the document itself, parents are also given a certificate for appointing one-time help. With it, you need to contact the local social protection authority to arrange material assistance from the state.

How do I get a copy (duplicate) of a child's birth certificate?

Like any other document, a birth certificate can be lost. What do parents want to do in this case? Do not worry: if you lose this important paper, you can always restore it.

Let's find out how to get the lost birth certificate again. This procedure is no less simple. It is necessary to appear in the registry office, where once the lost certificate was issued, with the same package of documents, however, it is not necessary to apply the birth certificate now, of course. Instead, it will require a child's passport if he has already turned 14 (for Ukraine 16) years, or a copy of the lost document.

Registration of a duplicate assumes payment of state duty - for Russia it is only 200 rubles. The copy will be printed with the word "duplicate".
