Jude Lowe took to the stage before teenage refugees in French Calais

The famous British film actor Jude Law has taken part in a rather unusual performance. He stepped on the stage of the Good Chance Theater, a theater that was organized in the French city of Calais by British volunteers from Help Refugees.

Vocalist Tom Odell and writer Tom Stoppard composed the company to the star of the film "House Hemingway" and "Cold Mountain" in his speech. Artists read letters from refugees, quoted the works of Albert Camus and Mahatma Gandhi. In order that the audience of the improvised performance could fully enjoy it, the play was translated into Pashto, Arabic, Persian and Kurdish. The performance of the stars was greeted with real ovations.

What brought the English celebrities to France? The fact is that on the shores of the Passa de Calais the whole "city" grew up, populated by emigrants from the Middle East. It is called the "jungle" of Calais. By this act, artists sought to draw public attention to the fate of 500 teenagers who have relatives in the UK.

An open letter to the Prime Minister

This performance can be called a logical continuation of the campaign, which was deployed in England in support of refugee youths. A group of not indifferent British celebrities made an open letter addressed to David Cameron, the country's prime minister. Celebrities urge admittance to the UK of homeless teenagers who have relatives on the island.

This petition was signed by hundreds of media persons, including Idris Elba, Benedict Cumberbatch, Helena Bonham-Carter, Colin Firth and Jude Law himself.

Save, you can not ignore!

The situation is exacerbated by the authorities of France, who plan to wipe out part of the refugee camp just before the end of the week. Thus, without a roof over his head will be about a thousand immigrants.

At the present time, not less than 4,000 forced migrants live in the camp near the French city of Calais.
