Mnemonics for preschool children - tables

Little pre-school children have to learn and memorize a huge amount of new information. In some cases, this can be very difficult, since preschool children usually do not know how to read and write.

Recently, for the development of memory and perception, preschool and early school children use mnemonics techniques. This method of teaching can be used both in a children's institution and in the process of home school for a mother with a child. In this article we will tell you what constitutes a mnemonics for preschoolers, and we will present several tables that can be used to develop and educate boys and girls.

What is mnemotechnics?

The principle of mnemonics is to use various tables, schemes, poems and special cards. Since children of preschool and early school age have very developed visual memory, spatial-imaginative thinking and perception, they easily remember all kinds of images and build up associative series that connect them with each other.

In particular, during mnemonics classes the following popular techniques can be used:

  1. The child is shown a picture on which several bright objects are depicted, differing in color, shape, size and other characteristics. Having carefully considered the drawing, the kid should come up with a story about what is depicted on it, while emphasizing the distinctive features that exist between different objects. This method very well fosters the development of imagination in preschool and early school children.
  2. For the development of memory in preschool children with the help of mnemonics special tables with verses are used, on which each line of the poem corresponds to its own image.
  3. Training of logical thinking can be conducted in various ways. In particular, the child can be offered to disassemble the cards with the professions and subjects used by their representatives, in pairs or piles.
  4. For schoolchildren who work well with ready-made tables for mnemonics, a reverse reception can be used. In this case, the child is offered to read the story, then independently illustrate it with simple pictures.
  5. Finally, mnemonics can be used to master the multiplication table. In this case, the training is conducted in a playful game form, which is very popular with senior preschoolers and students of lower grades, so memorization is quick and easy.

Rules of training on mnemotablitsam

In order for the mnemonics classes to bear fruit, during their organization it is necessary to follow certain rules and recommendations, namely:

  1. Regardless of the age of the child, one should start with simple mnemocquadrata, and only after their successful mastering go to more complex mnemotsechkam.
  2. Schemes and tables for mnemonics should be bright and colorful. Otherwise they will not be interested in the preschooler.
  3. The number of squares on one chart or table used for teaching a preschool child should not exceed 9.
  4. Even with older children, you should not use more than 2 different mnemotables per day. Repeated consideration of each of them is possible only at the request of the child.
  5. The subjects of classes should be changed daily. So, in particular, on the first day, tables can be used for mnemotechnology with pre-schoolers on the topic "autumn", in the second - on music, in the third - on the theme of famous fairy tales, in the fourth - on the theme of the winter season and so on.
