Before the Oscar ceremony in 2018, which will be the 90th in a row, it's still a long time (it will be held on March 4), but preparation for it is already under way. On Tuesday, it became known that the organizers of the ceremony for the second consecutive year appointed her the lead of the 49-year-old Jimmy Kimmel.
Continuation of the debut on Oscar
Jimmy Kimmel, who is a well-known American comedian and TV host, this year held the 89th Oscar ceremony, at which filmmakers were honored for the achievements of 2016.
In general, Kimmel excellently coped with the duties assigned to him, if not for a scandalous episode with the winners in the prestigious category "Best Film". Because of the wrong envelope, the duet Warren Beatty-Fei Dunaway mistakenly sounded the laureate not the movie "Moonlight", but the picture "La-la-Land."
It is obvious that Jimmy's guilt was not in the past, so his candidacy was recently approved for the role of the host of the Oscar in 2018.

Kimmel did not hide that he was flattered by the offer and agreed, saying:

Also, Jimmy, recalling the case with "false" envelopes, wittily added:
"If you think that we screwed up in the end of the show this year, then wait a bit until you see that we prepared for you on the 90th anniversary ceremony!"

By the way, in 2018 the "Oscar" holiday will be held on March 4, although usually the movie acting in the Dolby Theater takes place in the last days of February. The transfer of the date of the ceremony is related to the coincidence with the Winter Olympic Games, which will be punctured in the Republic of Korea from 9 to 25 February.
