Room lighting options

When designing a room, the lighting option plays an important role. With it, the room acquires its "character" - with the bright light of the room it becomes more hospitable and light, and the dim scattered light, on the contrary, calls for solitude and tranquility. So, how to beat certain lighting options in the room? About this below.

Playing with light: basic principles

Depending on the type of room, one or another type of lighting is selected:

  1. Lighting in the bedroom. Here, the LED ceiling light will be actual: changing its brightness, you can set the room for rest, work or reading a book. For the bedside area there will be enough floor lamps or sconces, and for a dressing table, a fluorescent lamp is better.
  2. Lighting in the children's room. Designers are advised to have a nursery in a place where there is a lot of natural light, but in any case, it will not be possible to refuse the option of artificial lighting. To evenly illuminate all areas of the room, use several light levels: the top light is on the playing area, the middle one is in the angular displacement or the central part of the room. The third level is the working area. This is ideal for table lamps, lights and floor lamps.
  3. Lighting in the living room. The main task of the hall is sufficient lighting without deep shadows and dark corners. Here you can use LED backlight niches, tubular lamps, spot lights or bright lamps for a coffee table. If the living room is decorated in a classical style, then use large suspended lampshades, decorated with forging, crystal and gilded elements.
  4. In addition to the listed rooms there are such functional rooms as a bath, kitchen and an entrance hall. Here, the bet is better placed on the built-in ceiling lights, as they create a diffuse light that is pleasing to the eye.
