Sensor light switches

Modern household appliances are increasingly equipped with touch controls. This promising technology has recently been used in light switches.

According to the external design, the sensor light switches are a flat plate with marked markings on it, so that they easily fit into the interior of any room. Touch switches control the lighting in the room: they provide on-off functions, change the intensity and directivity of light.

Advantages of the touch switch

There are several types of sensor switches. The choice can be made by selecting the best device for you.

Capacitive touch switch

The sensor wall switch works as follows: you lightly touch the panel, and the lighting turns on or off. There is also a design, when the hand is placed 4 to 5 cm from the surface, the sensing element is activated and the device is triggered. This is very convenient if you are busy with some work, for example, cooking in the kitchen. The built-in touch switch is equipped with a special illumination, helping to determine its location even in total darkness.

Touch switch with remote control

Switches with remote control provide the ability to control lighting in any of the premises of the apartment from a distance of 30 meters, for example, you can turn on the light in the hallway, staying in the kitchen, etc. Except for the remote, it is possible to turn on the lighting and touch the sensor area of the switch. The latest developments allow you to control lighting via a mobile device iPad / iPhone.

Touch switch with timer

The use of this switch design is dictated by the desire to save energy. Automatic switching off of light through strictly established time interval allows to save the electric power spent for illumination of entrances of apartment houses and premises where people are limited time.

Touch Proximity Switch

Sensory proximity switches are very convenient for use both in everyday life and in public institutions. Sensors of such switches react to the appearance of a person, an animal or a car (in a garage, a tunnel), including light and turning it off after a while after stopping traffic in a certain zone. Non-contact sensor switches are infrared, responsive to the thermal radiation of a person's body, and acoustic ones that react to sound: voice, cotton, or minimal noise generated by movement.

Feedthrough touch switch

The peculiarity of the pass-through switches is that they can be used to switch on a light source from several places. Pass-through switches, in turn, are divided into end and intermediate switches. To connect the sensor switch in two places two limit switches are used. If the connection is made in more than two places, then the required number of intermediate switches is applied.

Dimmer

A dimmer is used to control the intensity of light. In fact, the lighting control can be installed on any of the types of sensor switches. It allows you to adjust the intensity of light from very bright to muted lighting.

Before you connect the touch switch, you must choose where to place it. For example, in the living room with a large chandelier , the unit is more conveniently placed at the entrance. Installing the device in the bathroom and toilet, it is better to mount it in the corridor. The optimal height of the installation is the distance from the floor of 1 - 1.5 meters.
