Mantras for chakras

The practice of perfecting spirituality and inner harmony presupposes meditation on the chakras. It is known that the centers of our consciousness have the shape of a lotus, therefore it is necessary to use the appropriate mantras for the disclosure and purification of the petals of the chakras. Preparatory meditation consists of an eight-fold utterance of each mantra, during which one must concentrate on the functions of the chakra and its color. Doing asanas while reading the mantra simplifies the opening of the chakras and increases the flow of energy to the petals.

Meditation should begin with the mantra for the first chakra - Sahasrara, which is located in the crown region, and then move from the top down, in the direction of the energy flow. The first three times the mantra should be spoken fluently, starting with the fourth - to draw in the syllable vowels, completing the work on the chakra with vibration on the last consonant letter.
