Technology of facade insulation with foam plastic

The process of insulation of the facade of a multi-storey building or a private house with foam plastic can be divided into several parts.

1. Surface preparation. The walls must be leveled, and for this it is necessary to plaster them. After this, the walls must be covered with a special primer designed for external work. Such a coating will reliably strengthen the insulation sheets on the walls.
2. Fastening of foam on walls. To ensure that the insulation sheets are laid flat, it is recommended for beginners to use the so-called "spider". In the top two corners of the wall you have to hammer on the dowel. With the help of a thread and a load, we build two plumbs to the entire height of the wall and attach them to the upper dowels. Below, strictly vertically under the upper ones, we slaughter two more anchors and tie the lower ends of the threads to them. Between the two vertical we pull and fix the horizontal thread. Our "spider" is ready.
3. To start to glue a heater it is necessary from below, from the base. As a binder, Cerasit glue is most suitable. This is a dry mix, which must be dissolved in water until the desired consistency. Do not dilute the mixture too. The foams of the foam will not hold properly and slide down. The mixture is poured over the entire area of ​​the foam sheet and applied to the wall. The upper part of the sheet must be strictly touched by a stretched horizontal thread. Adhesive sheets of foam should dry out within a day.
4. Now the pasted sheets for reliability should be fixed with dowel-umbrellas.
5. Reinforcement of foam is carried out with the help of acid-resistant mesh and reinforcement glue, which is applied from the top down to the walls, and the mesh is pressed into it with putty.
6. Plaster of the building facade with glue. Now you can apply any decorative coating to the walls.
