Damaged parts of the plant can be sprayed with such insecticides as aplaud, agravertine, arrivo, boverin, bancol, basidin, vermitex, decis, deltar, dohloks, kotrin, trap, polytox, oradelte, pyrimor, phosphocid, facuphon, flystick, tsitkor, sherpa. The full course is from seven to ten days. In addition to spraying, it is also necessary to add the drug to the soil during irrigation, in order to destroy larvae and oviposition in it.
Combating thrips with folk remedies
To get rid of thrips on houseplants, you can use folk remedies of plant origin. To destroy them, use infusion, which consists of the following components:
- half a glass of marigold flowers;
- 80 grams of tobacco and yarrow;
- feverfew (2 grams);
- 100 grams of celandine;
- 100 grams of decoction of the cyclamen tubers.
Grinded grass is poured with one liter of boiling water and insisted for two days.
If the pests on the plant are small, then a decoction of citrus peel can be used. For this, 200 grams of crust is ground in a meat grinder, boiled for 15 minutes. After they have cooled down, they squeeze them, then filter and add the necessary amount of water so that the broth has a volume of three liters. This liquid must be sprayed with leaves of flowers.
