Many know about the goldfish only from the fairy tale of the same name, and there are those who have already become a happy owner of the underwater beauty. There are a lot of varieties of goldfish, most often they differ in color - gold can be red, pale pink and even black and blue. They have beautiful fins, and these fish often become the main ornament of the aquarium.
How to breed goldfish?
First, you need to distinguish females from males. This can be done only during the spawning period - males are covered with a white rash, and in the females, the tummy is rounded. Sexual maturation in goldfishes occurs one year after birth, but they acquire their color and appearance after about two to three years. Experts advise at this age and engage in breeding. For spawning aquariums of 20-50 liters and more are suitable. It is necessary to pour prepared water, experienced aquarists recommend pouring no more than 20 cm. At the bottom is mounted a mesh, in one of the corners of which is placed a nylon woolcloth or a bundle of threads. The aquarium must be put on a bright sunny place, there must be sufficient air access.
The label lasts up to 5 hours. The caviar of goldfish looks, of course, not like caviar of large fish, it is small - about 1 mm, translucent, yellowish in color. Released from caviar male greenfish is very weak. He represents a thread with two eyes. Once the goldfish have laid eggs, their parental mission ends and they can eat offspring. Here, kapron wool is playing its main role, which we put on the bottom: the fry settle on it and become unattainable for their gluttonous parents. If you have another aquarium, you can transfer into it plants and sponge, on which caviar and fry of goldfish have settled. It is important to maintain the temperature in it at 21 ° C, feed the fry to begin when they sail from the plants.
