Why drool in a 2-month-old baby?

"Slobbering" period of life in children begins not with birth, but after two months. Often this gives a lot of problems not only to my mother, who constantly has to change clothes, but also to the child. He can have the strongest irritation due to the current all the time, saliva, right up to the sores. Let's find out why the drool in a 2-month-old baby is flowing and whether it is possible to somehow influence their number to ease this difficult period.

Why in 2 months drooling?

It is at the age of two months that salivary glands begin to actively work, which have not yet awakened to this point. But this work does not go smoothly and consistently, because the body is still trying its capabilities.

There are other reasons why the baby can drool at 2 months. The main one is teething. No, in 2-3 months the teeth appear only in a small number of babies, but the body thus prepares a mouth cavity. Salivary fluid partially anesthetizes the gums, in which the eruption process takes place.

In addition, saliva contains natural bactericidal substances that help protect the oral cavity from pathogenic bacteria, which get there a lot. After 2-3 months, the kid actively begins to explore the surrounding objects, including his fingers in the only way available to him - he pulls everything in his mouth. Nature took care that, that washing with a salivary fluid neutralized the unnecessary substances that got there.

Do not forget to give the baby soft rubber rings and toys-teethers that slightly soothe the itch in the gums and soothe the baby.

Unfortunately, there is also a condition called hyperreservation - a violation in the nervous and endocrine systems. At an early age, they are not yet visible, but one of the signs may be just excessive salivation. Therefore, if the mother sees that there is too much saliva, it will be superfluous to seek counseling.
