Making a wicket from a tree with your own hands

Consider the process of assembling a simple garden gate from a tree with your own hands. To do this, you need:

• boards;
• rails;
• screws;
• screwdriver;
• milling cutter for decorative excavation;
• tools for grinding and trimming rails.

1. Planed planks are taken. On the milling machine, a border for beauty on the sides is cut from the front side of the material.
2. You can start assembling the prepared workpieces. The approximate length of the boards is noted.
3. Is going to a frame of cross rails. In total, the product will have four cross bars - two on the bottom and top. Reiki screwed with screws strictly at an angle of 90 degrees to the boards.
4. The boards are screwed. The width of the gap between them is measured by the same workpiece. The last face can be twisted if the gap is uneven when all the vertical boards are already assembled.
5. The side on which there will be loops, you can strengthen and fasten two boards with a narrow gap.
6. The diagonal bar is cut. The rail can be attached to the construction by marking the junction line with a pencil and cutting it off.
7. The length of the boards is trimmed using a trimming machine on both sides.
8. In order to increase the height of the wicket and a little more to decorate it, you can add a few planks up. They are cut in a semicircle, having prepared a template from plywood.
9. The template is temporarily screwed with screws and a cut line is marked. On the intended line they are cut with a jig saw. The edge is ground and the cut is milled as on the rest of the perimeter of the rail.
10. The gate is ready. It can be covered with paint and varnish materials.

This is the most simple model of the wicket from the padding racks. It is possible to make a gate made of wood under the old days with their own hands, supplement it with metal details or carved elements.
