Sideboards, as such, appeared in the XV century and served, mainly for the preservation of expensive porcelain and silver dishes and other kitchen utensils. Initially, this piece of furniture was equipped only with blind doors, which were started to glaze much later. In view of the fact that high-quality sideboards are made from real wood, it is worth paying attention to the condition of the wood, its breed and its processing. Usually the material for making such furniture is oak, beech, cherry or birch veneer, but variations of rocks are acceptable. More budget choice will be the products of their MDF, chipboard and other varnished boards. Glass used for internal partitions, must have a qualitatively faceted outer edges and not a life thinner than 0.5 cm.
