To do this, you need a wallpaper cut, ribbons for decoration, scissors, long ruler, double-sided tape, rope, latch, awl.
How to make blinds from wallpaper by yourself?
Homemade blinds will be made from ordinary paper wallpapers on standard windows with a length of 135 cm.
- Take the ruler and measure the height of the window - in our case it is 135 cm.
- In order for the blinds to be compressed to be added to the length of the window 30 cm. On the wallpaper we measure the desired length - 135 cm + 30 cm = 165 cm.
- Cut the length of the curtain.
- The next step is to make the accordion on the curtain. Mark on the sheet for 2-3 cm and carefully draw strips.
- Each strip needs to be folded. First we bend under the ruler, then press it with our hand, we help ourselves with a pencil. The most important thing is to fix these strips well.
- Then we bend the paper in the opposite direction, fix it. So we do the pleating on the wallpaper.
- So do until the very end of the wallpaper and get an accordion. We mark the ruler of the place in which the rope will be passed.
