World Blood Donor Day

In daily worries and affairs, sometimes it's hard to get up and think about the fact that each person is able to save the life of another. And for this it is not necessary to have a large amount of money, to go to the other end of the world or spend a huge amount of time. No. It is enough just sincere desire to share what everyone has - blood. In fact, the donor is a kind of profession, the service of kindness and charity. After all, the desire to help and save someone's life can say a lot about a man who is ready to become someone for real salvation. Realizing the significance of such an act, the world organizations in 2005 decided to establish a world blood donor day. Since then, June 14 is becoming a date reminding the whole planet that good will continue to win, and any illness can be overcome.

Donors around the world save lives

Today, in every country, millions of people are being operated on, in the process of which blood transfusion is the most important and extremely necessary stage. However, unfortunately, this life-supporting component of the body can not be bought in a pharmacy or purchased in any other way, except as a donation. The International Red Cross, the Red Crescent, the International Blood Transfusion Society and the International Federation of Blood Donor Organizations have initiated the creation of an international blood donor day. The same organizations are engaged in coordinating activities around the world, covering 193 countries that are part of the UN.

Russia is also a participating state, but unlike most countries in Europe, where blood is not only disinterestedly, but also with pleasure, we are treated with a small degree of mistrust in this procedure. So, in our country, far from everyone knows what day is the donor, where to go in case there is a desire to become one of the rescuers of human lives, what can be eaten before the day of delivery and a number of other issues. However, in comparison with past years, the current state of Russian donation is marked by a positive dynamics in the growth of the number of people willing to share their blood.

Today, the level of donation has been established and is being implemented in all developed countries, suggesting that for every thousand people there are about 40-60 donors. For comparison, in Denmark this limit is exceeded twice and in each thousand there are 100 donors. Of course, this indicator should also be sought by other world powers. An adult who has donated up to one liter of blood will not feel any discomfort or malfunction in the body, since such an allowable amount is restored very quickly.

Russian blood donors

While in Russia, blood donation has not entered into a good tradition, but people still try to be useful. In addition, in our country there are special benefits for those who are ready to contribute to a good cause. So, among the whole complex of advantages can be identified:

To popularize the donation in Russia, as in other countries around the world, the donors' day is held, in which various organizations take part, and which are relevant not only to health care. At the enterprises, the leadership promotes the surrender of blood among its employees, mobile points are set up in cities for all comers, and the common noble desire to save other lives unites all not indifferent Russians.
