Many tourists choose to relax Beach Yaz - one of the most famous and popular in Montenegro . Is the beach Yaz in Budva , or rather - about 3 km from the city. Location of the beach and its features
Yaz beach is easy to find on the map of Montenegro: it is located between the mountains of Strazh and Grbal, and the river Drenovstitsa divides it into two parts. The smaller section, which has the conventional name Yaz-2, is covered with golden sand and has a gentle descent into the water. This part of the beach is chosen by families with children.
Most of the beach, called Yaz-1, is pebble. There is a relatively small (about 400 m in length) plot for a nudist beach. It is located closer to Budva. The entrance to the sea here is also quite gentle.
What to do on the beach?
The infrastructure of the beach is well developed. There are paid toilets (a visit will cost 0.5 euros), showers, locker rooms. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas; about 2/3 of the beach are occupied by "paid" places. The remaining third can be located on your litter and under your umbrella.
Near the beach in the summer there are water attractions - there are both "adults" and children. There are no playgrounds for babies here. There are several cafes and restaurants, most of which provide free internet access. You can buy food on trays - for example, donuts or hot boiled corn. There are also small shops in which you can buy souvenirs and beach equipment.
Fans of outdoor activities can rent a catamaran, jet ski or boat. There is a parking near the beach; park the car will cost 3 euros. A little further away the car can be left for free.
Cultural Events
In 2007, the beach hosted a Rolling Stones concert, which was attended by 40 thousand people. 2008 was marked by a festival of live music, in which Lenny Kravitz, Armand van Helden, Dino Merlin, Goran Bregovich took part among other performers. Later in the same year, a Madonna concert took place here.
In 2012, the beach was the music festival Summer Fest, which was mainly performed by musicians from Montenegro. In 2014, a three-day Sea Dance Festival took place here.
Where to stay?
Hotel Poseidon, one of the most famous in Montenegro, is located right on the beach of Yaz. He has 3 *, but visitors invariably rate him as "excellent." The hotel offers several types of recreation: accommodation + breakfast, half board and full board. The hotel has the best beach restaurant. It specializes in dishes of Mediterranean, continental European and Montenegrin cuisine .
How to get to the beach of Yaz?
From Budva to the beach Yaz can be reached on foot - will have to overcome less than 3 km. However, this is not the most convenient option. You can use public transport - here regularly (but not very often, about once an hour and a half) there are buses from the city. The cost of a bus trip is 1 euro.
You can reach the beach and taxi. The trip in this case will cost about 10 euros during the "high season", and in off-season - at 5 euros. On days when festivals take place, a shuttle is organized from all international airports in Montenegro and major resorts to Yaz Beach. You can reach the beach and by water - with the help of the Taxi Boat service. A water taxi leaves almost every major Montenegrin beach, but this way to get to the Yaz budget can not be called - such a trip will be very expensive.
