15th week of pregnancy - sensations in the abdomen

For every woman waiting for the birth of a future child, the very moment when she first feels the stirring of the crumbs in her stomach becomes unusually exciting and long-awaited. Meanwhile, the baby in the uterus cavity begins to stir much earlier than the future mother will be able to feel it.

At what time does the pregnant woman begin to feel the child's movements?

Most of the future mothers first get acquainted with unusual sensations in the abdomen at a period of about 15 weeks of pregnancy - these are the movements of the fetus. However, primiparous girls may not understand for a long time what exactly happens in their tummy, and they believe that these sensations are associated with changes in the work of the intestine.

Quite often a pregnant woman, who is on the 15-week period, turns to the doctor with a complaint "I do not feel the movements of my baby." There is absolutely nothing to worry about here - for girls who become mothers for the first time, the norm from 15 to 22 weeks of pregnancy is considered the norm for acquaintance with shocks.

If the expectant mother expects the birth of a second or subsequent child, she already knows these feelings, which means she learns them much earlier - usually this happens between 12 and 14 weeks of pregnancy.

Do not forget that there are many factors that affect the intensity of the baby's movements and the brightness of the sensations of the future mother - for example, slim girls begin to feel shocks crumbs earlier than full. Even being in the womb, the future child already has his own temperament - active kids are pushed much more often and stronger than the quiet ones. In addition, it also depends on the size of the fetus, the location of the placenta and the amount of amniotic fluid in the uterine cavity.

What do the first movements of a baby look like?

As already mentioned above, the first movements of the baby are usually taken for the processes occurring in the intestine. Only a few days later, the future mother will experience these incomparable sensations on a regular basis and begin to understand that this is the movement of the crumbs. Some girls say that they first felt that many small fish are splashing in the belly, others are like butterflies flying, others are as if they blow bubbles. Each woman feels it in her own way, but for any mom, these movements are the most pleasant feeling she can experience while waiting for the baby.

Along with positive emotions, sometimes the first tremors of the future baby cause a woman discomfort - often a baby strikes mom in the bladder, forcing her to immediately go to the toilet. In addition, usually the activity of the falcon increases at night, because of which a pregnant woman begins to suffer from insomnia.

In what case should I see a doctor?

If you feel the first movements of the fetus at 15 weeks of pregnancy or a little later - it's wonderful, and says only that your baby is normal and is actively developing. From now on, you need to carefully monitor your sensations and note any changes in your body.

Start a special diary in which you will record and mark the baby's activity, after the termination of the pregnancy period you will experience incredible feelings, re-reading your notes. The diary will help you and during the scheduled visit to the gynecologist - tell him about your feelings, as well as about what time of day and how often you feel the strongest movements of crumbs.

If, after you regularly feel the baby's movements, they suddenly abate for a long time - contact a doctor immediately, because it can talk about oxygen deficiency or even fading of the fetus.
