The beautiful decorative topiary is surprisingly simple to manufacture. And the most important thing in such a tree is, of course, its crown. Let's find out how you can make a ball for the topiary in just 20 minutes!
We make a ball for topiary from the newspaper
Take a big spread of the newspaper and crumple it properly. You will have a small ball. In order to increase its diameter, wrap the ball with another newspaper sheet and squeeze, trying to give a round shape. Continue until the ball for the future of the topiary reaches the right size.
Take any sewing thread and start winding on the newspaper ball, trying to tightly press the paper. Your goal is to wrap the tree crown so that it is as level and round as possible.
If you want, you can fix the threads, completely brushing the ball with glue of the pv. But this step is not necessary: you can only fix the tip of the thread with glue.
Before decorating a tree , you will need to make a hole in the crown for the trunk. A newspaper ball is very easily pierced with scissors. Then the hole should be expanded to the desired diameter.
A newspaper ball is convenient if you do not have special floristic materials at your fingertips. With it, you can make a topiary that does not require a perfectly smooth ball for the crown (for example, from sisal). If the wood decor is heavy enough (like chestnuts or acorns), special foam balls for topiary can be used - they are practically weightless.
If your tree is decorated with napkins, satin ribbons or corrugated paper, the crown can be made from a balloon wrapped in threads, or as a basis for an ordinary plastic ball, hollow inside.
