Cake of towels

Gifts that we make with our own hands are always the most memorable. This is what the well-known proverb says, what is important is not so much the gift itself, but the attention paid. For example, a cake of towels can be presented for a wedding, for an anniversary, for the birth of a child, in short, for any celebration. There are many options for making such cakes. Let's try to make cakes of towels with our own hands, using different techniques.

Master-class "Cake-cake made of towels"

1. To "bake" a cupcake of towels, you will need the following materials: a small towel of a square shape, a cardboard or plastic cup, cellophane for packing a cake, artificial strawberries or other ornamental berries.
2. You also need a thread reel; it can be replaced by another item with the same dimensions - with it we will give the towel the desired shape.
3. The towel is better to choose light shades (white, ivory or gently pink). Lay out the towel on a flat surface and bend to the center of all its four edges. You will get the same square, only half the original size.
4. Do the same with the towel again.
5. And again - until the square does not reach the right size (it should fit in a glass).
6. Place the spool on the center of the rolled towel.
7. Turn it over, gently holding it with your hand so that the coil does not move.
8. Clasp the palm of the towel with the coil - you will get a peculiar bag.
9. Turn it back.
10. Carefully remove the coil from the bag, keeping it in shape.
11. While holding the towel over the top, insert it into the cup. It should "sit" there quite tightly. In our case, the towel plays the role of white glaze on the cake.
12. Decorate the top of the cake with decorative strawberries.
13. Wrap your artwork with packing cellophane and tie it with a beautiful ribbon.
14. So your cake is ready - a strawberry cake made of towels!

How to make a cake of towels?

1. A cake of towels can be done in a different way. Prepare a set of towels that you want to give.
2. Connect the edges of two large bath towels with pins, and then roll them into a roll. As an addition to the main gift, inside you can put a bottle of champagne - it will give the construction additional stability.
3. Do the same with small towels.
4. Insert the resulting rolls one into the other, erecting a three-tiered cake.
5. Decorate it with ribbon and bow. Such a cake, as a rule, does not need additional packaging.
