Acriderm Ointment

Acriderm ointment refers to hormonal drugs (glucocorticoids). The main active substance is betamethasone - a synthetic hormone, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, anti-vascular effects.

Composition and form of ointment production

Acriderm Ointment has several variants of composition:

1. Cream Acriderm - the basic composition containing betamethasone and a number of auxiliary substances (solid paraffin, petrolatum, propylene glycol, disodium salt of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, etc.).
2. Acryderm-Genta - an antibiotic - gentamycin sulfate - has been added to the basic composition. This gives the drug an antibacterial effect that affects certain types of bacteria (staphylococci, streptococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, etc.). Composition is supplemented with auxiliary substances.
3. Akriderm-GK - its therapeutic effect, except for gentamicin, is enhanced by a synthetic substance - clotrimazole, which is a strong antifungal agent. There are auxiliary substances that contribute to the preservation and even distribution of medicinal substances, and also facilitate the application and absorption of the drug.
4. Acryderm-SK - salicylic acid has been added to betamethasone. Its presence gives antiseptic properties to the ointment. Also, the medicine has cleansing (keratolytic) properties, i.e. softens and helps remove the upper layer of the epidermis. In small doses of salicylic acid accelerates the restoration of the stratum corneum, damaged by the disease. Of the additional substances there are only petrolatum and petroleum jelly.

Application of the drug

The use of Acrydrom ointment is appropriate for a fairly large number of skin diseases, due to different versions of the formulation. The main indication for the use of Acryderm ointment is allergic dermatitis:

• chronic, acute, subacute contact dermatitis;
• seborrheic dermatitis;
• acquired professional dermatitis;
• neurodermatitis;
• dermatitis caused by an allergic reaction to the sun;
• atopic dermatitis;
• dyshidrotic dermatitis;
• eczema.

Also Acryderm and Acriderm-Genta ointments are used for local treatment of psoriasis.

In addition, Akriderm-Genta is appointed with:

• secondary occurrences of dermatitis;
• radiation dermatitis;
• various types of eczema (coin-like, atopic, etc.);
• simple deprive;
• diaper rash;
• itching.

Acryderm-GK ointment is suitable for getting rid of:

• offshoot lichen;
• various fungal lesions (stop, groin);
• dermatitis with the connection of infection;
• diffuse neurodermatitis.

Acriderm-SK ointment, with salicylic acid is prescribed for diseases accompanied by increased formation of cells of the stratum corneum. It:

• ichthyosis ;
• psoriasis;
• some types of dermatitis;
• red flat lichen;
• eczema.

Method of application of Acrydrom ointment

Acridem is used only for external topical treatment. To do this, ointment or cream applied twice a day, a fairly thin layer on the affected skin, grabbing 0.5-1 cm of healthy skin. At the initial stages of the disease, one-time application per day is sufficient. It takes about two to four weeks for a complete cure.

Acryderm Analogs

At some factors, it is possible to replace the Acryderm ointment with analogs containing the same active substances. For example:
