Despite the fact that the whole work on assembling the bed is elementary, there are a number of important points on which to focus attention. Let's consider an illustrative example of making a bed, which will show the sequence of the assembly. So, the work will be performed in several stages:

1. Grinding . The pallets you buy on the market are likely to be poorly treated, dirty and will have a lot of cracks and burrs. Therefore, they must be processed by a grinder and then with sandpaper. As a result, the surface should be perfectly smooth and smooth.
2. Primer . After grinding, the pallets must be primed. This is required in order to increase the adhesion of the paint to the tree and to ensure a uniform closure of the pores. For priming, you can use an acrylic primer or a mixture of 100 ml of water and 2 tablespoons of PVA. When the tree dries, paint can be applied to it, preferably in two layers. After painting the pallets should stand 12 hours in the fresh air and dry properly.
3. Build . The polished and colored pallets are ready for assembly. Depending on the desired height of the bed, you need to lay them in one or two layers. If you want to put boxes under the bed with things, then lay the pallets with the legs to each other. In this case, a void will form between them, which can be used with advantage.
4. A mattress . Now you can finally put the mattress on the collected bed. It is best to choose a model with an orthopedic effect that will support your spine throughout the night. Ordinary cotton-like mattresses of the Soviet model should not be used, since they will be quite inconvenient on a bed not equipped with lamellas.

If you want to make a bed of illuminated pallets, then you need a duralight (a transparent cord with built-in LEDs, the basis of which are flexible polymers). The cord must be installed along the perimeter of the inside of the bed and connected to the mains. The design will shine with a warm yellow light, which will look very elegant and cozy.
