Design of the ceiling from plasterboard with illumination

A ceiling made of plasterboard is a construction that is made using dry gypsum plaster, which is formed in a gypsum plasterboard already ready for installation. With this material, you can create ceilings of different configurations, ranging from ordinary single-level, ending with multi-level ceilings with all kinds of overlays and niches. That's why designers are so fond of plasterboard.

In addition to the above advantages, gypsum board ceilings have another important advantage: with their help you can perfectly play with light, placing on various levels and niches all kinds of lights, lamps and other lighting. In comparison with the ordinary ceiling with a lonely hanging chandelier, the ceiling of gypsum board with backlighting has certain advantages:

As you can see, with the help of lighting in a plasterboard ceiling in the interior, you can make certain features that will highlight the design of your room against the background of other interiors. To do this, you just need to get the right type of lighting and organically fit it into the overall design.

Types of ceiling lighting

To illuminate the hypoksarton ceiling, specialists use several kinds of highlights, each of which has application features. Here are the main ones:

  1. Halogen lamps . Used for spot lighting. The lamp body is made of metal, thermoplastic or glass. Coverings of chrome, polished / matte brass and bronze give the lamps a special attraction. When installing halogen lamps, the ceiling is lowered by 3-6 cm. Because of small losses in height, they are used in rooms with low ceilings.
  2. Lamps with incandescent lamps . The design of the luminaire requires a special casing, which protects against condensation and dust. In addition, the lamp under the lamp is rotary and irrevocable. The ceiling arranged for ordinary incandescent lamps will drop 8-12 cm from the main ceiling height.
  3. Fluorescent lamps . Provide a ceiling lighting around the perimeter. Tubular lamps are placed "in a pocket" one after another in order to ensure the continuity of the light spot. Depending on the device of the ceiling, you can choose the lamp you need for the diameter, power and length.
  4. LED backlight or duralight . It is a light cord made of plastic with a garland pressed inside of a miniature incandescent lamp. The main colors of the backlight: blue, red, yellow, white, blue. Duralight can be stacked in the minimum clearances (from 30 mm), without having to install a complex visor. Of all kinds of fixtures, LED tape is the cheapest.

Each of these types of highlights gives a certain glow and is used for different purposes. Thus, the ceiling illumination of the ceiling is carried out by means of an LED tape or a fluorescent lamp. However, the use of tape is more common, since it is precisely distributed over any architectural forms, and the lamp can only be used on straight cornices. The hidden illumination of the ceiling often acts as an additional light, the main lighting is provided by chandeliers or spotlights. When installing a hidden backlight, make sure that the niche for the fixtures is deep enough, otherwise there may be problems when installing the backlight.
