Benefits for disabled children in Ukraine
According to the Ukrainian legislation, there are different types of support for disabled children.
First, there are special features of obtaining education for such a child:
- for gifted children it is provided free-of-charge training to musical disciplines and the fine arts;
- in the case of equal conditions for several applicants for entrance examinations to a university, a disabled person has a suppressive right;
- for preschoolers, education is possible in both general institutions and special (according to the testimony and with the consent of the parents).
Benefits for disabled children to receive material, social and medical services include the following opportunities:
- the provision of such services and technical means should be provided free of charge or at preferential rates;
- the purchase of medicines issued by a doctor is made without payment for out-patient treatment;
- in the order of the queue, vouchers should be provided to the sanatorium-dispensary.
For many there is an acute housing issue, so you need to clarify what housing benefits are put to a disabled child. It is worth knowing that such a family has the overwhelming right to improve conditions. And for children who are on the state security, it is planned to receive housing after reaching the age of 18.
There is a possibility of free travel in suburban and city transport. But it should be borne in mind that the passage in the metro without payment is guaranteed only for certain categories.
Benefits for parents of disabled children include the following:
- there is the possibility of benefits for the payment of income tax for one of the parents;
- additional leave at the enterprise for the mother is provided;
- labor law provides the possibility of working out a part-time or a week, prohibits the employer from enlisting in additional work;
- the mother can retire early;
- you can count on a 50% discount on air and rail domestic flights from 15.10 to 15.05 (disabled and accompanying).
What are the benefits of disabled children in Russia?
The legislation of Russia has its own nuances regarding the care of this category of population and provides for the following:
a family member who, being able-bodied, carries out the necessary care, receives compensation in the amount of 60% of the minimum monthly salary; - parents do not pay for kindergartens;
- discounts for utility bills, rent of housing, phone;
- the right to a place for a garage next to the housing;
- the right to receive additional housing, as well as places for building.
In other respects, the benefits for a disabled child in Russia and Ukraine practically do not differ.
