Cedar Oil - Application

Under the general name of "cedar" several plants are known: cedar Lebanese, Atlas, Himalayan, Cypriot and Turkish. The tree, which is usually called Siberian cedar, is actually a Siberian pine, and not a real cedar, and refers not to the genus of cedars (Cedrus), but to the genus of pines (Pinus).

Cedar oil happens as the base oil, which is obtained from the nuts of Siberian pine by cold pressing, and also by ether, obtained from wood by steam distillation. The most common essential oils of cedar are Atlas and Himalayan.

Oil from pine nuts

It is widely used both in food and for therapeutic purposes, contains a rich complex of micro- and macroelements (iodine, phosphorus, manganese, zinc, magnesium, copper, etc.), vegetable fats and proteins, as well as vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, D, E, F. According to the content of vitamin E cedar oil even exceeds olive 5 times.

Properties

In cedar food, you can replace any vegetable oil.

For medicinal purposes it is used in the treatment of arthritis, acute respiratory disease, skin diseases, including ulcers, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, as a prophylactic for urolithiasis. In addition, cedar oil has anti-allergic properties, increases mental and physical performance, helps to eliminate chronic fatigue syndrome.

In cosmetology it is effectively used as a remedy for dandruff, with fragility and hair loss. Cedar oil protects the skin from aging, makes it more elastic and elastic.

Cedar essential oil

Essential oil of cedar (both Atlas and Himalayan) favorably affects the nervous system, helps to relieve stress, tension, has a mild sedative effect. In medicine, it is used in diseases of the respiratory tract, as an anti-inflammatory and expectorant, with infections of the bladder, with dermatitis and eczema.

It is used as a preventive agent for improving blood circulation and maintaining the cardiovascular system.

In cosmetology is considered an effective anti-acne, with baldness, has deodorizing and anti-cellulite properties, and is also a natural repellent. Contraindicated in any period of pregnancy.

For hair:

  1. Against dandruff: mix 1 tablespoon of cedar oil, strong tea and vodka, and apply to the roots of hair 2 hours before washing. Repeat 2 times a week until the disappearance of dandruff.
  2. Against hair loss: add 5 drops of cedar essential oil to a tablespoon of base oil (avocado, jojoba, almond, olive). Rub into the scalp for 1.5-2 hours before washing.

For skin:

  1. For addition in industrial cosmetics: creams, gels, milk. 5 drops of cedar essential oil per 10 ml of base.
  2. With eczema and rash on the skin: 4 drops of cedar essential oil per 10 ml of wheat germ oil. Lubricate affected areas 2 times a day. The duration of the course is up to 10 days.
  3. Nourishing face mask: 2 tablespoons of cedar oil, 1 tablespoon chopped oatmeal and 1 teaspoon of honey mixed until homogeneous. The mask is applied for 15 minutes, then washed off with warm water.
  4. To combat mimic wrinkles around the eyes, you can apply a clean cedar nut oil for 30-40 minutes. Remove the residue with a tissue.
  5. In case of any problems with the skin , in addition to external procedures, it is recommended to drink cedar oil by the course (at least 30 days), 1 teaspoonful 2 times a day. Since pine nut oil is a food product, there is no restriction on the duration of the intake.

Use for other purposes:

  1. To strengthen the nail plate lubricate it with a mixture of essential oils of cedar and lemon 1: 1.
  2. For anticellulite massage , the following mixture is used: 5 drops of cedar essential oil per 10 ml of almond oil.
  3. When wrapping for weight loss: 10 drops of cedar essential oil per 0.5 liters of warm water.
  4. For influenza for inhalation: 6-7 drops of essential oil is added to a bowl with warm water, covered with a towel and inhaled as deeply as possible for 5 minutes.
