Beaches of Rabida Island - an unforgettable place for walking!
Like on any island of the archipelago, visitors are met by the hosts of the local places - good-natured sea lions and iguanas, they are everywhere. A little farther into the interior of the island nest brown pelicans, on Rabid one of the largest populations of this species - do not miss the chance to photograph a rare bird. Near the beach, in the picturesque lagoons, roaming pink flamingos. Employees of the National Park of the Galapagos Islands claim that these birds consume a special kind of pink shrimp and therefore have such a gentle color. Vegetation on the island is scarce, mainly bakuta trees, low shrubs and cactuses: poor soil and a rather hot climate. The beach traditionally ends with swimming in the sea and swimming together with sea lions and tropical fish. In the waters of Rabid, it is often possible to observe a white shark and even penguins.

The dark red beach on Rabid Island is only 4.5 km from the island of San Salvador and about 60 km from the main port of Galapagos Puerto Ayora .
