Making a simple table
For work you will need:
- timber - beams;
- two pieces of plywood for the countertop;
- glue;
- drill;
- saw;
- roulette;
- chisel;
- bolts are long and short;
- nuts;
- metal bushings;
- self-tapping screws;
- small four loops;
- two metal latches;
- handle for carrying the table.
- To make a table yourself, you need to draw up drawings and calculate the dimensions of the parts.
- The table top at the table consists of two parts of the same size, which will then fold. They are made of thick plywood. Two pieces of plywood are cut according to the dimensions in the drawing and pasted around the entire perimeter with blocks to form a rim.
- The corners of the table top are cut at 45 degrees to create a more harmonious design and bolting.
- In the resulting plane, a bolt hole is diagonally made.
- Two parts of the table top must be fastened together. To do this, on the adjacent sides of the chisel, small notches are cut into which four loops along the entire length of the table top are heated and screwed with self-tapping screws.
- As a result, the table top should evenly fold in two.
- Then four identical legs are cut from the beam. On one of the edges a chamfer is made on them. It is necessary for further securing the nuts on the legs. In the bars, a hole is drilled diagonally, trying on the bolt.
- At the edges of the countertop, bolts are inserted into the pre-drilled holes. I will hold the table legs on them.
- The legs of the table are screwed into the corner joints. They are inserted into the corner in such a way that the beveled chamfer is inside the table. The legs are bolted through the finished holes. From inside the beam bolts are tightened with nuts.
- Further, reinforcing bars - spacers are made. They are needed to strengthen the design of the table. For this, two long and two short beams are used according to the dimensions of the table top. On the edges of the parts holes are drilled, through which they will be fastened to the legs.
- Take short bolts and metal bushings with external and internal thread. Sleeves are needed to ensure the rigidity of the structure. They are twisted into pre-drilled blind holes drilled in four legs of the table at the same height.
- The spacers are fastened to the legs of the table from all four sides.
- The table is ready.
- The convenience of such a table is that it can be easily disassembled. For this, the bars and legs are unscrewed and folded inside the countertop. The table itself with the details inside is closed according to the principle of a chessboard.
- In the folded state, to fix the table top so that it does not open, two latches (as on a suitcase) are installed on the edge of it and a handle is attached for easy carrying. Now the cat's table for transportation.
