Pebbles - suitable material for paving: resistant to impact, durable, durable. The first samples of pebble mosaics, created in Japan and Greece, have been counted for many years, but still have not lost their properties. Decor with pebbles looks very natural: the paths and the area, covered with multi-colored stones of natural shades, perfectly fit into the landscape of the park.
For paving, pick up a natural pebble - polished stones 5-10 cm in size. The shape, color scheme and dimensions are very different. There are yellow, beige, coffee, gray, bluish and even pink stones . Depending on their origin, they have a flat, round or pointed shape. Mosaics from pebbles are more often performed by flat stones: they are put on an edge or buried in a solution.
Types of decor mosaic
Designers distinguish several ways of using mosaic. They differ in the way they are designed and installed. Let's consider the basic methods:
- Pebble mosaic on the grid. Option for the lazy. Producers independently select and calibrate the size of the natural pebbles, then with glue attach it to a strong flexible mesh. It is convenient to lay on walls, rings of wells, floors. The grid takes any shape when scissoring.
- Tile mosaic pebbles. Designers independently develop patterns from a pebble which at times accept the most inconceivable forms. The composition of the tile includes pebbles, reinforcing mesh and cement mortar. Such a product no longer changes its shape, and is stacked like ordinary ceramic tiles.
- Self-assembly. If you want to make a mosaic of marine pebbles on your own, then you will not only have to choose the same pebbles, but also to come up with a unique pattern. Most often the mosaic under the shingle is laid out on the garden paths and around the trees.
Experts say that the pebble mosaic not only complements the interior well but is also an excellent foot massager.
