Intra-flow papilloma of the mammary gland

Intra-flow papilloma is a benign formation that forms inside the mammary duct.

It is characterized by a small diameter - up to several centimeters and arises from hormonal imbalance. That's why most often it occurs in women after 40 years, when the body is preparing for menopause.

Symptoms with intracapsular papilloma

Papilloma proliferates into the intracerebral glands, which is often accompanied by regular discharge from the nipple. This is the main symptom, about which women turn to a mammalogist and then find a benign tumor.

Discharge from the nipple is manifested when the papillary growths are injured: with sudden movement or pressure on the chest.

The color of the discharge may be different: with an admixture of blood, transparent or greenish, if an infection has joined this disease.

With palpation of the ducts, the papilloma is felt as a rounded node.

Treatment of intraprostatic papilloma of the breast

Treatment of intraprostatic papilloma is only prompt, because it is a precancerous disease. It can not be abandoned and tried to be treated with conservative methods, because at any moment it can be transformed into a malignant tumor.

The surgeon removes not only the papilloma, but also the tissue that surrounds it. This is a necessary measure to exclude the development of cancer in the future, which, in fact, does not release the patient from regular surveys of this area after the operation.

The operation to remove intraluminal papilloma is as follows: the surgeon makes an incision around the halo to reach the ducts. He then assesses how much they are affected by the tumor, removes the papilloma node along with the altered tissues and closes the wound.

The extracted tissue is sent for histological examination, which will give accurate data on the goodness / malignancy of the cells.

Also, the operation can be performed endoscopically, but doctors do not recommend using this method to remove formations whose nature is questionable.

After the operation of the intraprostatic papilloma, neither the size nor the shape of the breast changes.

The only reason for delaying the operation on the intra-cellular papilloma of the breast is pregnancy: this disease is not characterized by rapid development, so the risk to which the mother's organism is exposed and the child during the operation is not justified. In any case, the final recommendation is given by a mammalogy oncologist.
