Kate Middleton demonstrated an elegant image in a long lace dress

Over 35-year-old duchess of Cambridge has long been entrenched the status of "style icon". Once again Kate proved it, having visited yesterday at the exhibition in the National Portrait Gallery of London. There took place the event Portrait Gala, which presented portraits of British people of past years, as well as modern celebrities.

Middleton appeared at the event around 7 pm. The woman arrived at the exhibition alone and immediately went to inspect the exhibits. Accompany Kate took the director of the gallery Nicholas Cullinen. It was he who told the Duchess what she was going to see, as well as the history of the paintings and masks presented. Particular attention to Middleton attracted the work of Howard Hodgkin, a famous British artist. Of all the proposed exhibits, Kate spent most of her time near a painting called "Missing Friends." After examining this exhibit, Middleton said these words:

"It is a masterpiece. I love. I'm glad that such pictures can be in our museum. It is very important for me that guests and residents of our country have the opportunity to admire such creations. "

And while Kate enjoyed the "Missing friends" all the guests of the gallery were able to view the duchess's outfit. To admire art she came in a dark green dress made of lace. This creation was presented in the autumn-winter collection of the 2016/2017 brand Temperley London and cost about 200 pounds. To the dress, the duchess picked up the elongated Kiki McDonough brand earrings, as well as the clutch from Wilbur & Gussie for £ 95.

Kate is happy to participate in the program Coming Home

In 2012, Middleton took control of the activities of London's portrait gallery, as well as all the events that take place in the museum. Yesterday's arrival of the duchess in the gallery is connected with the fact that the exhibits participating in the program "Сoming Home" were presented in the museum. Its main task is to help portraits and masks return to their homeland. However, now it is only about three months, but, as Nicholas Kallinen admitted in his interview, we can pretty soon hope that the period of stay of the exhibits will be increased.

Thanks to Kate's active work, some of the exhibits that had previously left their home country were returned to Britain. Among them you can see the masks of Sir Walter Raleigh, the sisters Bronte and a portrait of David Beckham.

After viewing the exhibits was completed, Middleton shared her impressions of what she had seen:

"It's very beautiful. Everything that can be seen here has a spiritual, artistic and historical value. I am very pleased to be a patron of similar events. Thanks to the funds that the program of Coming Home collects, one can hope that the masks and portraits of great people of Great Britain will be able to return home. "
