Katy Perry managed to win a dispute with the nuns of the inactive Catholic monastery and now the enterprising singer will turn him into a dwelling house legally.
Restructuring of the monastery
Two years ago, Katy Perry and Los Angeles Archbishop Jose Gomez agreed on a mutually beneficial deal. The performer, who knows how to make money, not only with talent, but also entrepreneurial veins, wanted to buy a former monastery of the Roman Catholic Church in Los Felice and a plot of land adjacent to it, with a total area of 32,000 square meters for 14.5 million dollars.
Unsuitable candidate
The documents were signed by five nuns who lived in an abandoned monastery. The sisters of Christ were not against moving to a new abode for the sake of the diocese, but they categorically did not want the "shameless" singer to own the former, but religious community.
The nuns accused Perry of witchcraft and magic, recalling how, in 2014, Cathy visited Salem at TheSalemWitchWalk, a party stylized as a witch coven.
The sisters of the abode of the Immaculate Heart of Mary found another more "pious" buyer for the monastery - business lady Danu Hollister, who was going to build a hotel here, but Perry decided not to surrender and sue.

To the singer's side
The other day the Los Angeles High Court ruled that the actions of the sisters are illegal because they did not have the right to sell the monastery to Dane Hollister, without the authority for such an operation.
Judge Stephanie Boick stated that since Perry was the first to express her intention to buy land, she can complete the sale of the purchase transaction, having been approved by the Vatican.
