Mirror Panels

As you know, mirror surfaces visually should expand the space and fill it with light. In order for this technique to work correctly, you should use the mirror panels for walls and ceiling correctly. There are three types of this option of finishing, below we will consider each of them.

Types of mirror panels

To date, you can use three types of mirror surfaces for the decoration of the wall or ceiling in the room.

  1. There is a tile with a so-called mirror coating, which differs little from a conventional mirror. The main plus of this mirror in its durability. When using good adhesives and following the technology, such a tile can last several years and at the same time retain its original appearance. This type of surface is produced in several designs: the reflective layer can be classic silvery, and there are also more original shades of pink, golden and any other.
  2. Mirror plastic panels are no less actively used in the design of premises. They are available in the form of rolls, and in the form of separate panels . Their great advantage is flexibility, which means that the field of application is significantly expanded. Before using roll-up mirror plastic panels, they, like linoleum, spread out and only then are taken for installation.
  3. Mirror panels on a self-adhesive basis very much resemble ordinary tiles. This material, like roll plastic panels, is quite flexible. The weight of the sheet is small, it is possible to cut off the necessary length or to give an intricate shape using a stationery knife. Mirror panels on a self-adhesive basis come with a moisture resistant coating, which makes it possible to use them in rooms with high humidity. Self-adhesive mirror panels are also actively used for furniture decor.

Mirror panels - rules of use in the interior

Unfortunately, just to hang a huge mirror along the entire wall is small, from this the dimensions of the room will not change significantly. There are several tricks that allow you to expand the space due to reflective surfaces. The interior itself should be made in light colors, and the boundaries will expand if the mirror reflects a larger window.

Never use a reception with frames, beads or other butt-end methods for a mirror panel of many tiles. It will only reduce the size of the wall. In addition, several closely spaced mirrors can create the effect of doubling the space. And this means that in such a room you will experience constant discomfort. Preferably finish the upper part of the wall, then the room will be larger, and you will be comfortable in it.
