What is interesting about Temaiken Park?

From the language of the Teuelche Indians, the name "Temaiken" is translated as "living nature". Here you can see many animals from all over the world, and the zoo is famous for the fact that all its inhabitants live in conditions that most closely resemble those in which they live in the wild.

Those of them that can pose a threat to people are in spacious enclosures, and small ones like, for example, lemurs, and numerous birds can walk around quite calmly. Temaiken is famous not only for the abundance of animals, but also for the diversity of the plant world, as well as its original landscape design.

It is simultaneously a zoological and dendrological park, as well as a kind of museum of natural history. It will be interesting to visit both children and adults, and you can spend here with pleasure the whole day, or even a few. Animals can be fed, for this purpose, special "food sets" are sold at the ticket offices, on which it is indicated, for the feeding of which animals they can be used.

How is the park organized?

The zoo is divided into four "geographical zones":

The " Argentina " zone is the largest. It is also divided into 2 parts: Mesopotamia and Patagonia , since both the plant and animal kingdoms of these territories vary significantly. In the "Argentina" you can see pumas, capibars, tapirs, bats, many birds.

Inhabit here and reptiles, including such dangerous, as alligators. They live behind special fences, but turtles live right in small ponds and often get out to bask in the sun, and they can be touched and fed. Birds that live in water bodies also go ashore and walk among visitors, sometimes begging for food.

The African zone provides an opportunity to admire the zebras, various antelopes, hippos. There are predators here, including cheetahs. You will see pelicans, flamingos and other waterfowl and "land birds" of Africa. It is here necessary to feed the ubiquitous lemurs. In the "Asia" sector you can see tigers, smaller predators, flying foxes, monkeys, deer.

Zone "Aquarium"

In the zone "Aquarium" live those fish that need special conditions, that is, inhabitants of the depths of the Atlantic Ocean. The sector is decorated in the form of dark grottoes, so the highlighted aquariums look particularly impressive. Here you can see both tiny fish, and giant, for example, sharks. Freshwater fish live right in the mini-lakes and ponds located on the territory.

In one of the grottoes the aquarium is directly above the heads of visitors. Fish, floating just above their heads, make a tremendous impression. Instead of walls in this room - also aquariums, and this creates the effect of being in the depths of the ocean.

From time to time there are scuba divers that feed the fish. And in front of the entrance to the room there are gaming machines for children, in which kids can absolutely participate in fascinating sea adventures.

Cinema

In Temajken there is a cinema where you can watch documentaries about wildlife. The cinema has a viewing angle of 360 °, it often brings groups of schoolchildren and even toddlers from kindergarten.

Comfortable rest in Temayken

In the territory everything is provided to ensure that the holiday-makers were comfortable. There are many benches here, but those who do not have enough or just want to rest in another way can settle on the lawn. They are very clean and well maintained, despite the fact that some animals and birds are walking in freedom.

Along the tracks there are water sprinklers, which work if they are bent over. This "refreshment" allows the lunch to transfer the heat.
