A modern bathroom can not be imagined without a stylish mirror. Today, a variety of design options are presented, which differ in the type of frame, the size of the glass, the presence of a pattern / tint and other decorative details.

We select a mirror with illumination in the bathroom
There are several global options for highlighting: in one case, use spot lighting that directs light to the desired place, in another case, use an internal illumination that provides illumination of the people facing the mirror and in the third situation, the lamps are placed behind the mirror. In the latter version, the backlighting has an exclusively decorative purpose. Let's consider in detail all three types of wall mirrors with illumination:
- With external illumination . Manufacturers offer a lot of options for such products - remote lighting equipped with hanging cabinets and separately hanging mirrors. For lighting, adjustable lights, spots and small sconces embedded in glass can be used. Mirrors with this backlighting are functional enough, since they illuminate a certain zone in the room.
- With internal illumination . It uses an energy-saving tape with built-in LEDs, or compact LED blocks. Each unit consists of 3-4 LED bulbs. To hide the installation, an aluminum frame is used, silver or gold. Accessories can have different shapes and sizes, so they can be installed anywhere. If desired, you can even decorate the entire wall of the bathroom. The only downside - the price of mirrors with internal illumination is slightly overstated, which is due to the complexity of production.
- With decorative lighting . Such accessories are used solely to attract attention and create a special romantic atmosphere in the bathroom. The whole mirror can be highlighted, as well as its separate part. Very beautiful looks illumination of drawings made on sand blasting technology. The decorative illumination does not provide full illumination , therefore it necessarily needs to be combined with other lighting devices.
Please note that most mirrors are available without a frame. Because of this, neither have a laconic minimalistic design, which is more appropriate in the interior of high-tech, loft, classic and minimalism.
Pleasant additions
In addition to additional lighting, your toilet mirror with backlight can perform other equally useful functions. It is very convenient when inside there is a locker in which you can put cream, soap, toothbrush with paste and other important things. Thus, you will have a place in the bathroom and it will be easier to restore order.
If you do not want to cover the glass while taking a shower / bath with a condensate, then you should order a heated mirror. A thin 0.3 cm thick film heater is used, which emits infrared heat and does not allow the glass to fog up when the room temperature rises. This will also protect the built-in luminaires from condensation and significantly prolong their service life.
Safety during installation
The bathroom is a room with a high level of humidity, so the installation of a mirror with a backlight must comply with the rules for the operation of electrical appliances. Choose wiring with double insulation and lay it in a hidden way. Grounding must be arranged and emergency shutdown capability taken into account.
