The history of this building begins in 1896, when the Palace of the Government of Sucre (Palacio de Gobierno Sucre) was built for meetings of municipal authorities. After nine years, the building was in the possession of one of the local churches. Today the building is located prefecture of the Department of Chuquisaca, above the main entrance to which flaunts the inscription: "La union es la fuerza". Her literal translation is: "Unity gives strength." This slogan has recently been considered the motto of Bolivia .

Unusual architectural solution

The facade of the building is decorated with a stained-glass window of a quaint shape, under which is located an intricate balcony with arches of three doorways. The Palace of the Government of Sucre is located in the central city square, so it is very easy to find it. You can reach the place on foot, a walk will take about 30 minutes. If you live in a remote area of ​​the city, then go by car along the motorway Plaza 25 de Mayo, which will lead to the goal. The journey time is 20 minutes.

Unfortunately, nowadays it is possible to get acquainted with this landmark of Bolivia only by examining it from the outside. The building houses one of the government's facilities, so strangers are not allowed here, and excursions are prohibited.
