The Pretoria court, represented by Judge Tokosila Masipa, announced a new verdict to 29-year-old Oscar Pistorius, who earlier, according to the decision of the early release commission, was transferred to house arrest for the remaining four years of imprisonment.

The prosecutor's office, which challenged the athlete's stay on a sparing regime of confinement, wanted to get the athlete fifteen years, but the judge, pointing to "the existence of serious circumstances," pronounced the sentence in the form of six years in prison.

As mitigating circumstances, the court obviously took into account the disability of the defendant.

The verdict reads that the murderer Riva Stinkamp (the athlete claims that he shot a beloved without malicious intent, thinking that the burglar was hiding behind the doors, not she), after serving half the time, he can claim parole. Thus, Pistorius may be at large in the summer of 2019.
