Palace of Government


The palace of the government is one of the main attractions of the capital of Ecuador Quito . The building is a historical and architectural value. Forged lattices of balconies, made by the best Ecuadorian masters of the eighteenth century, are perfectly combined with stone columns. Even more interesting look antique clock and bell, which were installed in 1865 by order of President Garcia Moreno. He also ordered the installation of two gables, with a coat of arms surrounded by guns.

The Government Palace is located on Independence Square, in the center of Quito , so you can reach it on any public transport. The closest stop is Plaza Grande. Through it there are city buses.
