When cutting or buying wooden mugs, remember that they should all be of the same thickness, and their diameter can be very different: from 7 cm to 55 cm. Before starting work, it is necessary to treat the spills with antiseptic, and the part that will be in the ground - hot linseed oil . Mounting the track from the spits of the tree consists of the following steps:
- The trench . According to the pre-made markings, we dig a trench 20-25 cm deep. Its width should be equal to the width of the future path.
- Waterproofing . It is made to ensure that the wood is as little as possible in contact with the ground. At the bottom of the trench lay dense film or geotextile.
- Drainage . He will drain the rainwater and protect the tree from rotting. For this, you can use the rubble of the middle fraction. It should be covered with a layer of 10-15 cm on the bottom, slightly moistened with water and well tampered.
- Pillow . On this layer, consisting of sand or gravel-sand mixture, will be laid down. Therefore, the pillow should be dense and even. Its thickness can be about 10 cm.
- Stacking of spills . Circles set in a trench and, tapping with a wooden or rubber hammer, press them into the pillow. Make sure that all the logs are in the same plane.
- Filling gaps . Since the logs are round, all the spaces between them are filled with sand. After that, well spill the path with water and if necessary, pour the sand into the formed cracks.
- We decorate the edges of the path . You can simply pour on the ground and tamper with it or decorate the sides with high wooden blocks or with a stone.
