Peeling with fish, or fish peeling, is a unique procedure with the participation of special small fish, which is carried out in cosmetology salons. Fish that make peeling

The peeling procedure is carried out by live fish garra rufa (Garra Rufa), belonging to the family of carp, a class of ray-fin. These are small, harmless fishes of gray color with a red fin on the tail, a length of 2 to 10 cm, without teeth. In nature, garra rufa feed on algae and organic residues, which are dissolved with the help of secreted enzymes.

They dwell in the warm waters of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, as well as in the thermal springs of the Kangal gorge (Turkey). Today these fish are specially bred for use not only in cosmetology, but also for medical purposes. The matter is that the fish of garra rufa, also called fish-doctors, can cure some dermatological diseases, for example, psoriasis, eczema, fungal diseases .

The procedure for peeling fish

With the help of the oral sucker, garra rufa removes the deadly layer of cells, thereby carrying out a natural skin peeling. That is, these fish are able to feed on dead cells, which should be disposed of, without causing harm to the healthy.
