Pregnancy and follicular ovarian cyst

Currently, many couples are concerned about infertility. When planning a pregnancy, a woman undergoes a test and gives numerous tests, which may result in a diagnosis of the " follicular ovarian cyst ". At this point, the question arises as to how the follicular cyst affects pregnancy, and whether education can cause infertility.

The follicular cyst

This type of cyst is formed from the follicle as a result of hormonal imbalance and disruption of the ovaries. The fact is that every menstrual cycle in the ovary ripens the follicle that bursts during ovulation. But if for some reason ovulation does not occur, the follicle turns into a benign formation - a follicular cyst.

Delay of menstruation with the ovarian follicular cyst can be quite long, but, as a rule, an average of one month. Since the cyst is formed due to the absence of ovulation, pregnancy with such deviations often does not occur. In some cases, ovulation can occur in the second ovary, so the follicular ovarian cyst and pregnancy are simultaneously possible.

Follicular cyst during pregnancy

If a woman is ovulating, and the follicular cyst does not interfere with the onset of pregnancy, education in the future requires careful observation. If the cyst does not grow, and its size does not exceed 3-4 cm in diameter, as a rule, education does not touch.

Many women are interested in the question of whether the follicular cyst can later vow. In fact, in most cases, education dissolves on its own, but if this does not happen, the cyst is surgically removed, which may call into question the retention of pregnancy.

A serious complication of the follicular cyst during pregnancy is the probability of torsion of the ovary. In the event of this pathology, urgent surgical intervention is also required, which can cause the termination of pregnancy.

It is not a contraindication of the follicular cyst and for IVF, as in preparation for artificial insemination, as a rule, hormonal therapy is carried out. Thanks to the restoration of the balance of hormones, follicular formations most often disappear.

In addition to the question of whether it is possible to become pregnant with a follicular cyst, many women are concerned directly with education itself, in particular its health hazard. Here you can be calm - the ovarian follicular cyst never passes into a cancerous form.
