Quartz heater

With the onset of the first cool autumn days, the issue of heating apartments and houses becomes especially urgent. Manufacturers do not get tired of surprising consumers with all the new models of devices, one of which are quartz heaters for home, cottages or apartments.

Quartz heaters are of two types: traditional and infrared. What are their differences, and which devices demonstrate greater efficiency? Let's understand.

Quartz Infrared Heater

These devices heat the room pointwise similar to halogen and carbon . In addition, an infrared quartz heater can also be used in an open area. It works according to the following principle: waves emitted in the infrared range, they heat all objects in the room, and they in turn transmit heat to the air. This is how the space is heated.

The heating element in the quartz infrared heater is a quartz lamp made in the form of an elongated tube. From accidental damage it protects the metal case. A quartz lamp houses a reflector that focuses the radiation. It can rotate by 20-40 degrees, which allows, if necessary, to direct radiation to a certain point. There are also models of quartz heaters with several lamps. In general, these devices are characterized as fire-safe and noiseless. The thermostat, which is equipped with the device, allows you to maintain the temperature at a given level. If the heater accidentally overturned or overheated, then due to special sensors it will automatically turn off.

For continuous use, this appliance is not suitable. Care for him is simple: enough wiping with a dry napkin.

Traditional quartz heater

Traditional monolithic quartz heater is made in the form of a panel, its heating element made of nickel and chromium alloy is filled with sand, which is known for its properties to heat up quickly, giving away heat, and slowly cool down.

Monolithic heaters with quartz sand are powered from the outlet. To reach the operating temperature, the device needs no more than 10 minutes. Since the device for two or three hours of operation can provide heating for a day, it is considered very economical. To do this, it is sufficient to set the thermostat to the required temperature, and the heater will automatically maintain it.

Often such quartz panels are mounted on the walls. This allows you to save the room from the unpleasant smell of burning dust particles that settle on the surface of the heater, which heats up to 95 degrees.
