Rococo style in clothes

Watching the historical films of the period of the reign of King of France Louis XV, for sure, every girl dreamed of taking the place of the heroines of that time. Elegant ball dresses , beautiful hairstyles, exquisite manners, gallant cavaliers and endless dances, all this is able to lure any woman. It was this style in clothing that began to be called rococo.

The history of rococo style originated in the beginning of the XVIII century in France. Some considered it a continuation of the Baroque style. But, if Baroque was famous for its majesty and excessive pomp, the main features of the Rococo style were considered to be elegance, refinement, fragility, in makeup, women did not use bright colors, but only emphasized the beauty with gentle pastel shades. In the Baroque era, absolutely all women looked like mature ladies. And the era of rococo - this is the era of young nymphs, with elegant waists and dreaming of endless love and romance. The main feature of the Rococo style is that perfumes are in fashion. In addition, since men's clothing has also become as close to the female image, the Rococo era is also considered to be the age of women.

Dresses in the style of rococo were truly magnificent. Bulky and bulky Baroque outfits were replaced by more asymmetric and harmonious models with specific and realistic forms. Fabric for dresses was chosen in softly-pastel colors with all sorts of plant patterns. In a rococo style dress, the woman looked light and graceful, with narrow shoulders and a thin wasp waist, high raised breasts and markedly rounded hip lines. But, by the second half of the century dresses again began to become voluminous. The sides of the skirt were much wider, and the front and back parts were flattened. Around the waist of the woman, special frames (falsities) were reinforced, which gave such an effect. Because of such volumes, the cavaliers could not walk next to the lady. They had to walk a little ahead, leading their own chosen one.

If we talk about ornaments in the Rococo style, they become more refined, delicate and elegant, and the ornaments on them become richer and more interesting.
