When we talk about the euro-bed, we mean both the place of its production, and the size specific to this kind of furniture. European beds have slightly different parameters, rather than the familiar notions of single, double and sesquial beds.
Features of the sizes of single and double euro beds
Most of the furniture factories in Europe use the metric system of measures, and the dimensions of the double seats they produce are as follows:
- length of the bed - 200 cm;
- width - 160-200 cm;
- height with a mattress - 45 cm.
The concept of a double euro-bed at the same time applies to products with the dimensions of a berth from 160-180 cm. For us it is more customary to consider such beds as a one-and-a-half bed , because for two they are cramped. However, in Europe, these beds are full-fledged double beds.
Single beds in the European version, on the contrary, have a large width - 90-100 cm against the usual 70 cm. However, we need to pay attention to the length of the lounger - often it is equal to 190 cm, which we consider to be the size for teenagers. If you need a length of 200 cm or more, the width will increase proportionally.
Models of sleeping euro-beds
In addition to beds in the classical sense, the concept of the euro-bed is applicable to such models of folding beds:
- sofa-bed euro - more familiar to us under the name of the sofa-eurobook , quite comfortable for sleeping, since there is no place for kinking the bed, except for one that divides the bed into two equal halves, the folding mechanism itself is also convenient;
- euro armchair-bed - compact furniture, equipped accordion system or roll-out mechanism, which makes it possible to quickly transform the chair into a comfortable single seat;
- closet-bed euro - very comfortable and ergonomic bed, which is transformed by raising the lounger in a vertical position, releasing a lot of space in the room.
