Study leave

Educational leave is an additional paid vacation for a working student for the period of the session. In other words, this is an opportunity to prepare normally and hand over the session, and also rest a little. The provision of educational leave occurs according to certain rules provided for by labor legislation. The student is required to write an application for study leave, which is accompanied by a certificate from the higher educational institution, which specifies the exact time of the session, and confirms the fact of calling this student to the session. Who has the right to study leave?

Any employee who studies at a higher educational institution has the right to study leave. If the employee decided to get a second higher education, the study leave is granted on the same conditions as for the first one. The same applies to the educational leave for graduate students. In addition, the study leave for students and magistracy.

The right to formalize the educational leave for the session is available only to employees at their main place of work. The study leave for the part-time student is somewhat different from the usual one. Educational leave for part-time workers is provided on a general basis, but not paid. In addition, only those students who study successfully and do not have unsatisfactory grades in the record book have the right not to work during the session.

Length of study leave

The duration of leave related to education is also stipulated by law. Additional paid leave can be given to the students of the first and second courses for the period of the installation session (pair), the performance of laboratory and control works, the taking of credits and examinations. The duration of such leave varies depending on the level of accreditation of the educational institution in which the employee is trained. For grades 1 and 2 of the university accreditation with an evening form of study, educational leave is 10 calendar days, and for levels 2 and 3 - 20 days. For correspondence courses, regardless of the level of accreditation, study leave is granted for 30 calendar days.

For students of the third and fourth courses, leave for the period of the installation and examination session is granted, according to the level of accreditation and the form of training, for 20, 30 and 40 calendar days. To pass the state exams, study leave is granted for 30 days, regardless of the level of accreditation and the form of the student's education. To prepare and pass the diploma work on the graduate course, students of universities with 1 and 2 levels of accreditation, evening or correspondence courses are given leave for 2 months; students of universities with 3 and 4 levels of accreditation - 4 months. For students of institutions of post-graduate education, study leave is provided on the same grounds as for the third-year students of the university of the appropriate level of accreditation.

Rules for granting study leave

If the employer does not let you go on study leave for the session, then you did not collect all the necessary documents. In no other case will he be able to refuse you. Leave is granted Only if there are three basic documents available: student application, certificate-call for the session and the order of the institution based on this. The help-call should contain all data about the educational institution, as well as the form of training and success of a particular student, indicate the beginning and end of the session. The order on the basis of the application and the certificate must be signed by the head.

Payment for educational leave is made by calculating the average wage per day and multiplying this amount by the number of days of vacation. Vacation is given to the employee at least three days before the grant of leave.
