To choose the best beach in Mallorca for recreation, you should know where you will be more convenient, because different parts of the island are dominated by different natural landscapes and, accordingly, the weather changes throughout the year :
- In the north of Mallorca a massive mountain range with a length of 100 km stretches. Water on local beaches is cooler than the south of the island;
- in the southern part of the drier and hot climate, and the beaches here are the most beautiful and picturesque in Mallorca;
- The eastern part of the island is riddled with numerous bays, dividing among themselves many kilometers of beaches;
- the southwest is most popular with tourists. The infrastructure of this region is very developed, in addition, nearby is Palma de Mallorca.

One of the best beaches of Mallorca with white sand is Alcudia . It is about 8 km of coast, on all sides closed by capes. Thanks to the purest azure water and a soft sandy bottom, Alcudia is on the list of the 25 best beaches in the world. Tourists come here not only to sunbathe and swim, but also to visit local sights - the ruins of ancient Roman buildings. The beach is divided into two parts - a more civilized one, where paragliding and windsurfing lovers come, and more secluded, suitable for recreation with children.
"Playa de Palma" (Playa-de-Palma) is very much appreciated by tourists, here you should definitely visit, being in the Balearic Islands. This beach stretches along the south-west coast of Mallorca for 4.6 km. "Playa de Palma" is one of the cleanest beaches of the island, thanks to which every year they are awarded the "Blue Flag" environmental award. It is very convenient to get to the capital of the island, which is located just 4 km.
"Portals Nous" (Portals Nous) - a beach, loved by all. Here you can often see celebrities, because "Portals Nous" is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Turquoise water and golden sand make this place truly magical. The beach is quite wide, so even in high season it is rarely crowded with vacationers. Pleases the level of development of the tourist infrastructure: on the beach "Portals Nous" you can find cafes and restaurants, here you can rent water skis and kayaks.
"Cala d'Or" (Cala d`Or) unites five small beaches, separated by bays. The conditions for recreation here are more than impressive: crystal clear sea water, in which floating colorful fish, fine golden sand are visible. At the same time the beach "Cala d'Or" is calm and not as crowded as, say, "Alcudia" or "Playa de Palma".
Of the wild beaches of Mallorca should be noted "Es Trenc" (Es Trenc). A distinctive feature of this beach is always a quiet, calm sea. In addition to the fact that the "Es Trenc" is very clean, it is also very small: to feel the depth, you need to pass along the clear water of about 100 m. The territory of the beach is located in a nature reserve on the south-east coast. That's why there is no sea transport on the Es Trench, but many birds and crabs live, which gives this place a unique charm.
