Toilet bowl with bidet function

Hygienic procedures are an integral part of the life of any person. The development of civilization has allowed people to alleviate many areas of life, including those related to caring for themselves. One of the inventions that help to perform hygienic procedures is a bidet. Despite the obvious convenience and benefit, the spread of the bidet is not so great. The main reason for this is the limited space of the bathroom and toilet rooms, but plumbing manufacturers came up with a solution to this problem by creating a toilet bowl combined with a bidet. In this article, we will tell you why you need a bidet, how to choose a toilet with a built-in bidet, what types of sanitary ware there are.

What is a bidet?

Bidet is a small hygienic bathtub equipped with a fountain. It is intended for washing the anus and external genitalia. In the classical version, the bidet is a stand-alone structure, installed, as a rule, near the toilet. There are also bidet attachments for the toilet (various types of hygiene shower, which are completed with the usual toilet) and the lid-bidet . These consoles can be either built in the toilet, or placed in close proximity to it (in the form of a watering can on the hose). Each of these options has its advantages and disadvantages.

Washing in bidet is not only a hygienic procedure, but also a hardening option. It is known that regular dampings with a gradual decrease in water temperature have a beneficial effect on health, in particular, they serve as a preventive measure for the development of hemorrhoids .

Kinds of bidets, their advantages and disadvantages

All bidets combined with a toilet bowl are divided into two types: toilet bowls with built-in bidet and separate bidets with a mixer (hygienic shower).

Any of these kinds helps to save the area of a bathroom and perfectly copes with its direct function - undermining. Let's consider in detail the advantages and disadvantages of each type.

Toilet bowl with bidet function

Such models take up little space, even less than the classic toilet bowls. The most popular option for such devices is a hanging toilet with a bidet function. Functional difference in pendant and standing toilet bowls is not present - they differ only in appearance. Some believe that the floor toilet is bidet is better than hanging, arguing that the reliability of floor structures. This is not true. In fact, modern suspension plumbing structures are not inferior in reliability to the floor. Of course, the load of 400-500 kilograms of a hanging toilet bowl is unlikely to survive. But think, how many toilet bowls are generally able to "survive" after such a load? At the same time, it is easier to clean around the suspended toilet bowl - you do not have to wash the seam endlessly between the floor and the base of the structure.

The advantage of a separately placed hygienic shower is that it is compatible with absolutely all types and types of toilet bowls. In addition, the flexible hose of the hygiene shower makes it possible to successfully use it, for example, to wash the cat's tray.

The drawback of such models is the possibility of water leakage in the place of attachment of the hose or watering can, and the appearance of condensation on the surface of the hose. This leads to the appearance of puddles of water on the floor near the toilet.

Whichever model you choose, be it a hygienic shower or a toilet bowl with a bidet function, always pay attention to the quality of the mixer and the reliability of all the seams and fasteners. After all, it depends on it, how long the product will last, whether the water from the hose will leak (if it is a hygienic shower), how accurately it will be possible to set the water temperature, etc.

Choosing between mixers for bidets, remember - more expensive models with built-in thermal sensor (thermostat) relieve you of the need to constantly adjust the water temperature. The presence of a thermostat is especially important if there are periodic temperature changes in the water supply system (for example, hot water is supplied through a gas burner that supplies both a bathroom and a kitchen).
