Types of water-based paint

On sale there are four main types of water-based paint, which differ in the composition of their polymer.

1. Acrylic water-based paint for walls and ceilings is the most common type of coating. 3. In a silicone water-based paint, the main component is silicone resins. It is suitable for all surfaces, can paint cracks up to 2 mm thick, has excellent vapor permeability, is not afraid of fungus. It is possible to use silicone water-based paint in damp areas. However, its price is quite high.
4. Mineral water-based paint in its composition has cement or lime. This paint is used mainly for coating brick or concrete surfaces, however, it has a short service life.
5. There is another type of water-based paint - polyvinyl acetate . For its production, the pigment pigments are rubbed into a polyvinyl acetate emulsion. Before use, these paints are diluted with water, and you can work with them even indoors. The paint covers the surface with a film of high strength, not afraid of moisture, fat, mineral oil and light.
