Women's winter overalls

Women's winter sports overalls are necessary for those girls who even like harsh winters like to conduct actively.

A warm female overall allows you to avoid hypothermia, which can occur during extreme sports on the snow. Its advantages over a separate suit are obvious: when falling, snow and moisture will not penetrate inside, and so it will not be necessary to often change into dry clothes.

However, it's not so easy to choose a women's overalls, because today there are a lot of their options that meet certain needs: for example, there are overalls with a heater and without, water-repellent and waterproof, with a hood and without. Therefore, before choosing a jumpsuit, you need to carefully study what functions they can perform and in what conditions will be appropriate.

Women's overalls

Before you start choosing a jumpsuit, you need to decide what kind of sport it will be used, because the female snowboard jumpsuit is very different from the women's ski jumpsuits. Their main difference in style: for skiing less extensive models are used. This is due to the needs of athletes: during snowboarding, the athlete needs more freedom of movement than when skiing, where a wide overalls will only interfere.

Material for overalls

For the manufacture of overalls, polyester or nylon is used. It is a synthetic fabric that protects against moisture penetration. The thicker it is, the stronger and longer it will last, but with it, the weight of this overall will be greater.

Also there are models made of microfiber - they cost more, and are more often used for ski overalls.

There are two types of overalls for snow sports - waterproof and water repellent. The first allow 100% to protect the athlete from penetration of moisture, but at the same time, they practically do not allow the skin to breathe. In these overalls, often used additional ventilation systems, which allow moisture to evaporate. For watertight overalls, sealed joints are an important parameter - if there are none, then it can not be said that the protection against moisture is 100%.

Water-repellent materials are designed for sunny weather - in this case, moisture is unlikely to penetrate the overalls. But if the weather is bad - wet snow or rain, then it will be inconvenient to play sports in this suit. Also, clothes will get wet if there are constant falls and contact with snow.

All overalls are convenient in that they protect from the wind, but not everyone has the additional function of a moisture separator: it is a special layer that is attached inside the overalls and allows the moisture to evaporate and simultaneously keep the heat. It is designed to enhance comfort.

Heaters: "for" and "against"

Some models have insulation: they allow you to keep the heat, but at the same time because of this it can be too hot. Before choosing a jumpsuit, you need to evaluate your activity: if it is high, and the weather conditions are not critical, then you can refuse warming. Also, several sweaters can be used as insulation, so that you can select the desired temperature depending on the conditions.

However, a coverall without insulation is better to choose from a waterproof fabric.

Convenient parts

  1. Choosing a model with a hood, you need to carefully see if it will not obstruct the view. Removable fur is convenient because during the snowy weather it will close your face, and in the absence of rain it can be removed.
  2. Pockets in overalls are convenient not only for storing things, but also for warming your hands.
  3. Elbows with enhanced protection will be useful for beginners, who often fall during training.
  4. Zippers with large rubberized tongues help to use overalls even in thick gloves.
